2. What’s On & What’s Current.
§ Current Public Opinion on Climate Change. The meeting talked briefly about the recent report regarding public option on climate change. The discussion centered around the reasons why and the fact that the scientific evidence as presented by the IPCC had not changed.
§ Feed in Tarifs, The meeting talked briefly about the recent development on “Feed in Tariffs”. Feed in tariffs allow renewable energy producers to sell the power produced at a fixed subsidized rate, this make renewable energy more competitive and more financially viable.
§ Woodfuel Event Sat 6th March QECP. Greening Westbourne has reserved 7 places on a Greening Campaign information day at QECP. This would be free to members on the Greening Westbourne e-mailing list. JM will arrange for the information to be sent out, CC will make all necessary arrangements.
