The village website needs your help.

Is there anyone out there who would like to Co-edit the site. I have done this on my own for the last 3 years and would like to make contact with a village person who would like to help and contribute to this village initiative.

The website has in excess of 1000 visitors each month and provides an excellent link to events and business, and you might have some new ideas, or would be willing to gather village news for inclusion each month.

Please contact through the:  Contact Us page

No 11 bus service from Westbourne to Chichester

At www.westsussex.gov.uk/buses There is a survey running now and one of the routes is Route 11 Emsworth & District - the bus that runs from Thorney/ Emsworth Hospital/Westbourne Square-Commonside/Southbourne/Chichester Bus Station and vice versa.

The uptake in Westbourne may not be great, but it may be essential to some of the older population, so any encouragement we can give passengers to fill this is will be beneficial. Copies of the survey are being handed to passengers by the bus drivers.

At the moment the survey is just fact finding - no decisions have been made (contrary to rumours that are around the route is to be axed.

Welcome to Westbourne, the pride of West Sussex. Nestling beneath the South Downs on the border between Hampshire and West Sussex, the parish of Westbourne is a thriving community.

The parish consists of the attractive village of Westbourne itself and the two hamlets of Woodmancote and Aldsworth. The parish covers approximately 1,846 acres of countryside and is the home to some 2,000 residents.
